We know that children have been experiencing greater degrees of stress and anxiety in this past year. Please read through this excellent resource as a way to support your children at home.
I hope all families, students and teachers have had a wonderful couple of weeks to enjoy some family time, to slow down and enjoy the beautiful North Okanagan-Shuswap area. I enjoyed spending my first Christmas season here (we were busily trying to pack up a house in SK last year over the break!).
Thank you to the many families that donated to our “Generosity Tree” in December. We were thrilled to donate over 330 lbs of food to the Food Bank. What a wonderful characteristic of our community.
Just a reminder about our short form Health Check form that was adopted by SD83 in October just as a reminder to all. I ask that you take a good look at it and be reminded of the important symptoms that would require you to keep your children at home. At all times we are seeking to keep our South Broadview staff members and community healthy. If you are unsure whether you should keep your children at home (due to travel, visiting, etc over the holidays), please feel free to contact Dee or myself- we can help to direct you and work with you.
I also want to remind you of the important aspect of privacy around COVID-19. Should there ever be an active exposure at the school, we will follow the directions of Public Health, and you will receive a phone call from myself or public health if there is an exposure.
Have a great week! You can expect a newsletter by the end of the week.
