Attention Kindergarten Parents

I’ve heard that there have been some parents that have NOT received the gradual entry/welcome letters sent by the Principal. If you have not received an email from me about your child’s class placement, please let us know by email or phoning the school and it will send it to you asap. Thanks.

WELCOME BACK!

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Families do not need to go out and purchase school supplies for their children. The school has purchased school supplies for each classroom, and families are charged a School Supply Fee to cover the cost of the supplies used over the course of the year. In preparation for the first day, students will need to have a backpack and a clean pair of indoor runners (with non-marking soles). A School Supply Fee Letter will be sent home as part of a newsletter during the first week, or you can find the information on the page above.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

The first day of school for Grade 1 – 5 students will be Wednesday, September 7 from 8:12am – 2:09pm (regular day schedule)

The office will be open on Tuesday September 6, however, there will be no school for students on this day.

When the Welcoming Bell rings at 8:09am on Wednesday September 7, returning students will line-up in at the grade markers out on the field (just beyond the courtyard) Students in Grade 1, should find the Grade 1 marker, etc. Students will spend the first two or possibly three days in grade-alike classrooms. They will rotate between activities with teachers in classrooms for the first couple of days.  This will be a full day for students so please make sure they come with a snack, lunch, and indoor shoes.  Students will be dismissed at 2:09pm.

Grade 1-5 parents should look for an email on the evening of Thursday Sept. 8. If we can finalize our class placements by Thursday September 8, the email you receive will contain information about your child’s new teacher. On Thursday Sept. 8, students can once again report to the grade markers in the field.

Kindergarten students will begin their Gradual Entry on Thursday, September 8.  Information about Kindergarten Gradual Entry will be sent home in late August.

KINDERGARTEN GRADUAL ENTRY SCHEDULES:

We have preliminarily assigned Kindergarten students to classes. You will receive an email package by August 19 indicating which classroom your child has been assigned and which gradual entry schedule to follow. Each teacher’s gradual entry schedule is found below:
